Installing new language in GNUCash

In my quest to run my company 'microsoft free' i have installed GNUCash as my accounting package. It looks like with a little creativity i will be able to use it for my official accounts. However, since i am located in Belgium i need to provide all my reports (balance and profit and loss statement) to the government in Dutch. After a bit of searching i found that there is a nearly complete Dutch translation of GNUCash available. However, it seems to be a .po file format and i haven't got a clue as to how to install that. Can anybody help ?

Thank you very much !!

Patrick

from gnucash page it says that
Q: I want to use GnuCash in my own language (Debian users may need it)
A: You have to set: "env LANGUAGE=fr_FR" and "env LANG=fr_FR". This exemple is for french (français). and then launch GnuCash

so doesnt env LANGUAGE=nl_NL work?
