Installing mysql and Vbulletin

Hey guys.. i want to install mysql and vbulletin, i'm wondering what version of mysql i need to install. When i go to the site for mysql there are a bunch of redhat installs. Can i use that even though i'm running mandrake 8.2? Or do i install the generic one?

here is the link to the download page..

http://www.mysql.com/downloads/mysql-3.23.html

Thanx all
