Cool installing mandrake 9.0

Help!!!
I am installing mandrake 9.0 and I have 1 hard drive with 2 partitions, 1 with Win98se that has 12GB( c drive) and the other is empty and has almost 7GB (d drive). When I try to install Linux it only tries to use 325MB. How do I get it to use the whole 7GB?

More detail please. During installation when asked where to install Linux do you see the 7GB partition?

Yes I see the 2 partitions, 1 that says 11.8 GB or so ( that one has Win98) and 1 that says 6.8 GB or so. So I choose the smaller partition for Linux to install to. And when it finishes what it is doing it gives me 325MB to work with instead of the 6.8 GB. I want to use all the 6.8 GB for Linux.
