Installing Linux progs (not the first I’m sure)... newbie tearing hair
In this case, Linux Rosa and OpenCPN a marine charting application.
I think I must be missing something obvious. Surely this Linux thing, that will run off a memory stick and politely add itself to a PC shouldn't need lines of terminal input to run something not in the Software Manager list? Tar balls/sudos/make this/unmake that... great for cognoscenti but DOS? in 2016? Rant over.. can anyone point me at a nice GUI app that will do it for me or is it back to 7? |
