Installing Libpthread

I am trying to install Libpthread. But the lack of info has me stuck. There are no files that came with Libpthread explaining how to do a install.

The files are listed between 01 - 07
all files end with the extention *.c

Can someone point me in the right direction to find instructions to help me install Libpthread?

Thank You

are you sure you don't have libpthreads already
look in /usr/lib
or
/usr/local/lib

you build libpthreads on a linux system by unpacking
glibc-linuxthreads in the glibc directory when you build glibc
you use the configure flag on glibc --enable-add-ons

this is messing with the very core of your system and i wouldn't be doing that if i were you !
