Installing kbabel (and kdesdk too?) for Mandriva 2006 (free version)

I'm trying to install Kbabel on Mandriva 2006 (free version). When I go to the official KDE/Kbabel site, under the Download heading, it says I should not need to download since it's probably already there, as part of kdesdk. So I tried using the draketool for managing software to see if I had any of those two installed already, or if it is on the CDs. I can find language libraries, but that's it. I have some development tools installed, but nothing that is specific to KDE, I think. I went to the Mandriva rpm "library", and found it there. But it has a looong list of dependencies. Some of those files are on the CDs.

I'm going to, finally, make my point: Has anyone successfully installed kbabel before? I'm wondering if I'm just looking for the wrong files... If not: With all those dependencies, how do I know which one to install first?

Thanx!
