Installing K3B - /!\ Without KDE /!\

Hello,

I would like to install K3b b/c the last CD i burned with cdrecord burned fine, but it took me like 1 page of arguments...

So I would like to install KDElibs.
I compile sources.
But problem...

Qt >>> I need it.

The problem >>> I heard it costs something.

I know lot of ppl have k3b without KDE.

How to get QT?

Thanx,

QT does not cost anything on Linux and other opensource platforms. Its shipped by most distros or you can install it yourself from sources. You only have to pay for QT if you are going to be developing commercial applications.

What distro are you using? Please put it in you profile, it helps us to give more specific advise.

Depending on your distro, it is quite likely that you can install K3B using your distro's package manager, which will also deal with dependencies.

AFAIK, the open-source release of Qt is now GPL'ed as well as not having monetary cost.
