installing grub manually
 
i have a single hard drive with windows xp and fedora 2 installed on it. recently i had to format my c: drive and reinstall windows xp. expectedly it removed the grub bootloader of fedora 2 and as a result now the dual booting option is not shown. only xp loads with no way of getting into linux. how can i install grub bootloader manually ? i dont want to install the whole fedora package again.plz help quickly.thanks in advance.

I'm not exactly sure in Fedora but most distros have a rescue disk you can boot to and re-install grub only. Have you tried booting the Fedora rescue disk?

With Redhat / Fedora you can boot up with cdrom #1 and type: linux rescue

The Fedora rescue cd came out with FC3
