i downloaded all patches associated with g++ from ubuntu.com
but i am hooked up.
plz help me.

Have you installed build-essential package? Not sure if you also need build-dep but I'll list it just in case.

You do know that ubuntu 9.04 is out of support, right?

You'd be better of using a newer version, or a different distro.
