Installing Galeon 1.2.1

I'm trying to install galeon 1.2.1 on my system, however when i run the configure script it says i don't have mozilla when in fact i do have it installed (version 1.0rc1). As per the installation instructions I have set the MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME variable and have installed mozilla directly from the tar file to get the correct libgtkembedmoz thing, yet it still doesn't recognize that i have mozilla installed.

I've read a lot of horror stories about trying to install galeon, but I really do like the browser and I'd like to have the latest version.

I'm running slackware 8.0, 2.4.18 kernel, kde and gnome installed.

Error Msgs

Here's the last few lines of the configure script:

checking for gdk_superwin_get_type in -lgtksuperwin... no
checking for gtk_moz_embed_get_type in -lgtkembedmoz... no
checking for Mozilla... no
configure: error:
*** Mozilla is required
*** A package for is available here:
*** http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla/.

I'd edit Makefile, it is probably looking for mozilla in the wrong place, find where it tries to locate mozilla and edit the path accordingly to reflect your system settings.

? makefiles

I've got two Makefiles in the directory, Makefile.in and Makefile.am, which one do i edit and what am i looking for ?

Makefile.in is very long and i saw a couple things in there that relate to mozilla but nothing that looked like it specified a path, Makefile.am on the other hand was very short and didn't mention anything about mozilla.
