Hi!

I'm installing perl module DBD-mysql-4.004 from DBD-mysql-4.004.tar.gz. perl Makefile.PL was ok
make gave errors

some of them are illustrated below

What is the cure to those errors? Should I change the configuration options for perl Makefile.PL, i.e.default/automatik configuration option are the source of errors? (All dependencies were installed, that is perl Makefile.PL didn't ask for any dependency missing)

Or is the package corrupted? That is should I redownload it? Please advice how to handle errors in make, make test or make install

P.S. I'm using CentOS-5.3

# yum -y install mysql-devel
should do.

The errors you get appear with missing 'mysql.h'.
( Have a look where the errors begin.)

DBD::mysql ... the current version is 4.012

Generally about perl modules : much easier to get with
the cpan shell : # cpan , cpan > install <MODULE::NAME>
if # yum search <package> gives no result.
( The package 'perl-DBD-mysql' is available from the
rpmforge repo only, I think.)

Sure! I updated mysql-devel and I could then install DBD::mysql
