Hello everyone, got a question..
I'm trying to install Enlightenment 0.16.5 (from src). The ./config calls for fnlib, which I got from the sourceforge link on www.enlightenment.org.
Good, great, grand... I go to install it (another source package) and ./config works fine... But when I do 'make' the following happens:
cd . && automake --gnu --include-deps Makefile
configure.in:5: your implementation of AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE comes from an
configure.in:5: old Automake version. You should recreate aclocal.m4
configure.in:5: with aclocal and run automake again.
make: *** [Makefile.in] Error 1
Now the method I'm using to install tar.gz's is simply to open the tar in Konqueror, copy the directory to an outside directory (/installs/fnlib) and then enter that and do the ./config and make there. Would that contribute to the problem?
It appears to be that I don't have automake installed, buuut:
# rpm -qf /usr/bin/autoconf
# rpm -qf /usr/bin/automake
# rpm -qf /usr/bin/aclocal
So thats my situation. Do I simply need to do what it asks and 'recreate aclocal.m4 with aclocal and run automake again'? If so, I have no idea how to do this... Any ideas? (besides simply finding a binary of fnlib? Id like this to be fixed, not just worked around =)
