installing DB FILE

Could some one quickly send a quick step by step guide on how to install DB FILE to perl on a Linux server.

(sounds really lame, but I'm not a Unix man I'm trying to guide my ISP (who is new to his server) through the installation of a perl component for use with one of my scripts after we recently changed web servers)

it would be easy on this server because I would just start my perl package manager and type "install DB_File"

I just need the equivilent in Linux

thank you

[I've only posted this twice on this board. I'm not spamming yet]

Why would perl on Linux be different?

Try: perl -MCPAN -e shell
