Installing another squid???

-fedora core 3 has a squid already installed on it but its files are scattered to different folders. is it ok to install a separate squid on it where i will define where it will be installed. wont there be any conflict with the orignal squid installed.

You can install another squid compilng it from source. By default it'll be installed under /usr/local, so it'll not conflict with the existing one. The only thing you have to change is the http_port (default 3128), so it's different from Fedora's squid and perhaps the cache directory (I don't know if it can be used by the 2 squid daemons on the same time).
