installing amule


Hi all, i am new in this site and in linux too ,
i had so many problomes when installing softwares.
for instance when i wanted to set up amule i had a message which says that some package are not satisfied.

does some one could help me with that software.
i'm using mandriva 2007.

How did you try to install aMule?
Did you download an rpm file? in that case you may run into dependency problems. To figure out which rpm contains the dependencies you need you could use a site like rpmfind.com, but it may take a while to satisfy all the dependencies.
A faster way to get something to install is to use your distros install manager (don't remember what the Mandriva install manager is though). Make sure it is configured so it can find the repos it needs to get the required packages.

i tried to install a xmule by a BIN File and i did what i had to do but i couldn't find where the soft is installed i even used to look for it but it's in no place.

and so i downloaded an rmp file but in installation it said that some packs don't satisfied.

should i donwload all the required packages coz it seems too boring for a task like that
