Prehaps you should try the "executable" file called "runlegends":
./runlegends

nothing happens............... i double clicked it and nothin happened.... i waited, then tried it again, and still nothin happens

Is it running in the background:
ps -ef | grep legend
What about when you run it in the terminal?

when i put in the ps -ef | grep legend ...i got

[root@localhost legends]# ps -ef | grep legend
root 3717 3488 0 18:15 pts/0 00:00:00 grep legend


and...lol.... im a newb, i dont even know the command to run it thru the terminal

lol thanks, its up and runnin.... ill prolly be needing more help sometime soon with somethin else so be prepared... but thanks for all your help

while in the legends directory, type this:

./runlegends

However, I'm not sure I'd run a game where every file in the directory (including txt files)
were set as executable.....

But as long as you trust them, go for it.

tried that and I get a empty directory. Just has two files..What am I doing wrong?

Go in the leged directory, and try to post the output of ls -l.
My guess is that you will have an installation script. something like setup.sh or install.sh..

Perhaps try running the 'runlegends' command.
This looks like it's already compiled.

Try to :

./runlegends

if that fails try to run (./program-name) every executable (rwx-r-x r-x ) file in the directory.

And after that write an email to the game author
and tell him to add those instructions to a README file.
Or better write it yourself and send it to him!!
