I've been using the tutorial from codeweavers.
need to ./tools/wineinstall

only problem is they mention change to the main directory. only problem being I don't know where that is.

Are you saying you don't know where to 'cd to' in order to run the install command?

Well I guess you could do:

find / -name *wineinstall* -print

Yes that script worked thanks.

found the location, only using ./tools/wineinstall wont work yet. System tells me there is no such file or directory. Strange for when I type dir wineinstall is clearly displayed.

The main directory is the directory that was created when you extracted the files from the archive.

The 'dot' means 'where I am now'

So if you are sitting IN the directory where wineinstall is,
then you must be in the tools directory - you would type:

./wineinstall

Presumably the 'main' directory is the one above the tools
directory - If you were sitting in that you would type:

./tools/wineinstall

cheers
