Installed lilo can't get rid of grub

I went from MEPIS linux to knoppix...

MEPIS used grub and grub was put on the MBR of /dev/hdb

Now... I installed knoppix to the HD and it wants to install lilo.... it didn't ask me where to install lilo neither.. just asked if i wanted to. I clicked OK on that dialog.

Knoppix installed......... now I get a grub error on boot.

Any idea whats wrong?

Yah. Do some research. To remove grub is as simple as installing lilo *completely*. That means finish the install by running /sbin/lilo. There is a ton of documentation available on the 'net. Do your homework.
I appologize if I sound testy; it's been a hard day. Google is your friend. www.google.com/linux is a better friend. Use in in good health.
