installation shell - reboot

i am installing centos 5.4. it is a remote machine connected via IP-KVM. I want to reboot during graphical installation. ctrl-alt-del in IP-KVM does not work. I hit ctrl-alt-f2 to return to command mode (shell mode). i try /bin/reboot, halt, poweroff but none of them could reboot the centos.

pls advise.

If you're logged in as root, 'reboot' should have worked. Try

shutdown -r now

none of those commands work including reboot, shutdown, /bin/halt, /bin/poweroff.

i return to command mode during disk partitioning.
