Installation of Redhat Linux 7.2 using ISOs
I would like to know how this is done. I have downloaded both 650MB ISO files and I just wanna make sure I'm doing it right. I belive I'm just supposed to burn it to a CD-R as an ISO CD-ROM, but I wanna make sure.

yes, that's right.
|
and then boot the install cd you just made.
|
but remember to make the first one bootable!
|
Burn the CD from the image, so you won't have a CD with one file on it.
|
How do I make the first one bootable and how do I burn it as an image so not to have only one file?
|
Thanks for all the help. I think I've got it.

Install from ISO
Hi all if you have downloaded the Redhat 7.2 ISO's you can just rename them CD1.iso and CD2.iso and then make the Redhat install boot disk and choose HardDrive install. Making sure the ISO's are in the root of your C: drive.
This method work great for me as i didn't have a bootable CD to use. I hope this helps. Karl. :Pengy: |
Thanks
I've got the bootable CD so I'd prefer to use that approace, but I'll keep this in mind in case I have issues. Thanks.
