Smile Installation of GCC in Fedora 22

Hi

I've been trying to install GCC in Fedora 22, but couldn't able to do so. I've used following commands but still it encountered the same errors all the time,

sudo yum install gcc
sudo dnf install gcc
gcc

I've attached the screenshot of Terminal. Please have a look at it & let me know where I might be going wrong.

Thanks

I think you should execute

yum update
yum install gcc

No matter what command I use, this is the error I'm getting while installing GCC.

sudo yum update
sudo yum install gcc

sudo dnf update
sudo dnf install gcc

Quote:
Error: Error downloading packages:

Curl error (6): Couldn't resolve host name for https://mirrors/fedoraproject.org/me...22&arch=x86_64 [Could not resolve host: mirrors.fedoraproject.org]

Any help why it's occurring ?

Thanks

Hi...

I thought GCC was included with Fedora 22? At any rate, you can also install this program from an RPM here.

Regards...

The commands for installing a usable gcc :

$ su <enter root password>
# dnf install gcc-c++

! You cannot use "sudo" when you used su to switch user to `root' !
