Hi
This is my current setup
Code:
[root@falcen6a home]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda2 3.8G 2.9G 775M 79% /
/dev/sda3 17G 5.1G 11G 33% /home
/dev/sda1 46M 29M 15M 67% /boot
tmpfs 1014M 0 1014M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/hdc 121M 121M 0 100% /media/GParted-live
I am trying to install the grid installer but i cant seem to find a suitable path to install it.*GRID_HOME
It is not allowing me to install in /home and the root permission will be given and i will not be able to log in as oracle user going forward.
I tried creating a folder called grid under home but I have some permission problems.
Can someone tell me the following:
1)Whether to create a folder under the /home directory and try to install the grid there.
2) To sub partition the /home directory so that I can proceed with the installation in a new separate directory.
Right now there is /sda1 /sda2 and /sda3.
How can I include /sda4.
Can someone tell me? I have been stuck with this. REsintalled the OS twice.
Please guide me.
PS - It doesnt work with Gparted . It says that you already have 4 primary partitions.
