Install Smplayer on Debian Etch?

I'm a recent convert to Linux from Windows XP. I used Smplayer for xp and really like it. Is it possible to install it on Debian Etch?

TIA

It's available on Linux. Check your package manager for it.

Code:
it-lenny:~$ aptitude search smplayer
p smplayer - complete front-end for MPlayer
p smplayer-themes - complete front-end for MPlayer - icon themes
p smplayer-translations - complete front-end for MPlayer - translation files

If you wish to play DVD's with smplayer you will also need to install libdvdcss2 from the Debian-multimedia repositories

http://www.debian-multimedia.org/

add the following line to your sources .list

deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org etch main

then

aptitude update
aptitude install debian-multimedia-keyring
aptitude install libdvdcss2 w32codecs smplayer

Oops I goofed. smplayer is in the Lenny (testing) repositories not in Etch.

You can always grab the source and compile it even if there isn't a Debian package for etch, I would also suggest searching backports.org
