Install problem escalated to graphics problem (SOLVED)

Ok so I decided to try out and install half life 2 with wine in my sabayon box which went fairly well except I didnt notice my hard drive was full and thought the instalation simply quit since it didnt had any sort of errors in the konsole.
I then proceed to run half life, the game actually started but as soon as I started to move around in the game it crashes and logs me out of my session.
I try to log in with no success.
I restart the computer only to find out that theres is no way for me to get back to my session, I tried different desktop enviroments (had kde, tried gnome and fluxbox) but didnt work either. I log in as root and it works. Everything is fine except for compiz-fusion which doesnt do anything and the windows have no frames around them.

I suppose theres a problem with opengl or glx but have no real idea of what to do.

I was running half life while compiz-fusion was on (I know my bad) but I wasnt going to actually play, I only wanted to see if it had installed or not thats why I didnt really care much about it.

I have no idea what happened, I would never had thought a game running on wine could cause so much damage.

I would gladly give out logs for whatever happend if you could tell me where to look.

Thanks for the help.

Solved
Appartently at a certain point either half life or compiz messed with my xorg.conf what I did was simply replace the xorg.conf with the xorg.conf.bak and everything went back to normal.
