Install can't find source headers, though I have them

I'm trying to install Klamav, the Gui for clamav. The log file generates the following info:

***** Dazuko
***** Running configure (./configure)...
checking host system type... Linux
kernel source in /lib/modules/2.6.10/build... no
kernel source in /usr/src/linux... no
error: kernel source files not found
***** Return value 1

I have checked with Synaptic and it appears I do have the source, evidently not where IT wants to find them. How can I work my way around this?

Robert

Do 'ls -l /usr/src' Make sure there is a symlink called "linux" to the source tree.

Ok, in /usr/src, execute "tar xvjf kernel-source-2.6.11.6.tar.bz2 ; ln -s kernel-*/ linux" and you should be good to go.

Thanks for the proper commands.

What book would you reccomend (for newbs) that explains the command lines, such as those you have provided?
