Info screens - Digital signage

Does anyone know about a digital signage app that runs on Linux. I have looked at Xibo (http://xibo.org.uk/), but then I would have to run Windows.

Maybe there is other ways to do this, than running a dedicated Digital Signage application, any ideas or experiences?

I know there are not-opensource apps but I guess that's not what you're looking for?
