Info on mail server

I need to figure out how to set up linux to be a mail server. I know sendmail is the most common service but I need to know about Postfix.

Does anyone know where to go to get the best info on how a mail server works?

What steps are needed to set it up and trouble shoot common problems?

I know linux. I just don't know sendmail or postfix.

Can't seem to locate the HOWTO for Postfix.

I don't use Postfix myself, but this site looks like it could get you going.

Postfix installation, configuration, and more
