imwheel + dropline gnome

Anyone know why dropline gnome + imwheel dont want to work?

I modified the xorg.conf (dropline's XF86Config ) with the correct mouse settings, as specified on this page:

http://linux.netpimpz.com/mx700/

I have setup this mouse 20+ times with slackware, but its not until dropline that it does not work.. Im thinking its possible that dropline does not use the /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc or ~/.xinitrc file?

Any help would be great..

Also.. on default install of dropline, i get a very annoying message about XKB not being right.. but keyboard works fine.. any ideas?
