Importing opera bookmarks to opera problem
 

I know this seems like a rediculous thread, but I cannot get the opera browser to import opera bookmarks. I had to reinstall my system and I saved the opera bookmarks file opera6.adr before doing so. Now when i try to import bookmarks through Manage Bookmarks, it goes through the steps but I just wind up with another Trash folder. I've used this file to import the bookmarks to both konqueror and mozilla, so I don't know WTF is the problem. Irritating, at least.

If I understand correctly, you want to recover your old Opera bookmarks, is that so? In that case, have you tried copying the 'opera6.adr' file to the ~/.opera directory? That's what I did to recover the bookmarks from the Windows version of Opera to a newly installed Linux version. Of course, you will have to replace the 'opera6.adr' file created by Opera during install with the old one that you've kept, so say yes when prompted.
