importing mutt mail folders to Mozilla/Thunderbird

I've recently switched over to using a linux box at work, which is very nice, but I've run into a problem when I tried porting over my old mail folders from the previous account I used to use for mail. I used mutt as my mail client there, which was all quite well and good.
However, now when I try to import the folders into my account here using Mozilla (which I'm using as my mail client now), it doesn't seem very happy about that, as Mozilla only seems to let me import Netscape 4.x stuff. I use an IMAP server for my mail, incidentally.

An alternative is that I'm using Thunderbird at home, and would be equally happy (well, almost in any case) if I could import all the things to my local folders at home, as if I could put them onto my mail server here at work. Given the choice between having them on my local folders at home or at work, I'd prefer they were at home, but that's a pretty minor thing, since once I have the folders one place or the other, I can deal with them as I wish.

Anyway, if anyone has any input on this, I would greatly appreciate it. I can elaborate on what the situation is, since I'm probably currently being something less than entirely clear and cogent.

Thanks.
