Hi
I'm trying to compile and install apache 2.0.47 on a machine running redhat 9 - I've done this quite a few times by now and have never had a problem until now.
The problem is that I can't compile a the package - at least not for sure. At first I thougth that it was a normal error but after giving it a closer look it seems to appear at random.
One time the error looked like this
In file included from /data/package/httpd-2.0.47/srclib/apr/include/apr_strings.h:86,
from mod_auth_anon.c:97:
/data/package/httpd-2.0.47/srclib/apr/include/apr.h:-191: internal error: Illegal instruction
and next time I succeeded as I wanted to copy another random error for this post (and I don't wanna mess with this anymore). But it took 5+ tries to get it to compile all the way
I wondered if anyone could help me out on this problem so I can be ready for next time it happens?
The only thing I found searching the net was some vague mumbles about a processor not being identified correctly!? This machine I've been working on is an AMD k6-2 500 MHz and it has been running fine until this moment (I doubt it could be a hardware failure - but then again it sure could be)
Any suggestions or confirmation on my thoughts are very welcome
Best regards
Mads Jakob
