if statements


im trying to make a script that will look at a file and if it is over 1 meg in size run a script to copy it to another dir and if it is not 1 meg in size send a email saying that there is a problem

is this possable and if so how would i go about doing it

Mendel Cooper's The Advanced Bash Scripting Guide is an excellent start. He outlines everything you need to know and also supplies lots of good examples.
