Need more info

Precisely what are the messages you are seing on your screen when this Kernel Panic happens? Where were your HDs attached in your old system, IDE? , ATA100 ? Where are they attached in your new system? What is your hardware profile? .

It appears that your HDs were recognized differently under the old system as compared to the new. For instance, your boot partition may have been hda5 on the old, but is hdax on the new (where x could be any number from 0 through 5 or more).

Do you have a boot disk? Can you boot your new computer therewith? If you can, you need to find out how your HDs are configured and then edit lilo.conf to reflect the new nomenclature. Be sure to run lilo after you change lilo.conf. Try using fdisk -l to see how your HDs are recognized, then change lilo.conf accordingly.

Hope this helps

What is the configuration of your computer?

I don't know if this will help, since I don't know what the configuration of your computer is. Do you have any network cards installed? If so, look here
Please provide a list of what is in your computer.
List motherboard, CPU, peripherals, memory, HDs, CDs, NICs, etc.
