Introduction to Linux - A Hands on Guide
This guide was created as an overview of the Linux Operating System, geared toward new users as an exploration tour and getting started guide, with exercises at the end of each chapter.
For more advanced trainees it can be a desktop reference, and a collection of the base knowledge needed to proceed with system and network administration. This book contains many real life examples derived from the author's experience as a Linux system and network administrator, trainer and consultant. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own.

Thanks for the reminder, trickykid. I hadn't updated the email addy in my profile since it got changed in the @home fallout. It's current now.
You can email me if it is absolutely necessary, but I really prefer to answer questions here in the forums. Doing so lets other members follow the progress of a troubleshoot and add their valuable input. Also, I already get a lot of questions via email, and following up on all of them can be pretty time consuming. Contrary to popular belief, I do like to sleep once in a while.

My email is in my profile, but I can't do anything with a PowerPoint file at the moment. The only system I have with Win on it is down for some serious maintenance. You can send the file, but I won't be able to do anything with it for at least a few days.
