hi. i've installed enterprise linux as3.0 (red hat). I't all right but have some questions:
is there any icq or trillian program for linux?
and once more: i've got an hotmail account which basically works on http rules and even in winzozz the only program i can use is outlook express to see my mails. is there in linux any program for http rules (hotmail??)
You could try GAIM, that supports just about every big IM protocol (AIM, MSN, ICQ, Trillian, Jabber & (IRC even))
If not try www.sourceforge.org or www.freshmeat.com (i think it's .com)
As for the hotmail account, if you can't stick using a browser you might want to try those sites or pay for POP3 access.
That's why I moved to Yahoo for the free POP3 access.
while i was configuring gain the terminal said this:

that's from the config.log file... what should I do???
My guess is that you don't have a c compiler on your system.
Perhaps you could get one from your installation disks.
Or you could try the RPM, that might work instead.
