Icon Theme Won't Load In Ubuntu 8.04... How To Fix?

I downloaded and tried to install an icon theme called in Ubuntu 8.04. It won't load in 8.04? How can I fix it so that the icon theme works in 8.04?

What does it (not) do when you try to use it? Display Gnome's default icons? In that case there's something wrong with your configuration..I ended up in that situation after upgrading Ubuntu from 7.10 to 8.04, after which (due to Gnome update I suppose) most icons simply reverted back to the default ones. I tried a lot of things, but I think what helped was removing some of the gnome/gtk-related configuration directories from my home directory (not sure which, as I ended up removing most of them) and then completely reinstalling the icon packages.

Hey, b0uncer. I'm able to show the regular gnome icons that come with ubuntu 8.04 by default only, unfortunately. I don't know what to do at this point. It's a shame that the updated gnome won't load the icons I got from gnome-look.org
