icon sizes

is there any way to reduce the icon sizes in suse 9.2 professional? i found how to chnge the size of the menu and bottom taskbar... but i want to change the desktop icon sizes...smaller... because the default is really big and it looks like i'm on 800x600 when i'm on 1024x768

in KDE look in the control center...
