Icecast2 radio setup

I've searched every thread here and couldn't find a suitable answer to my question.

I'm trying to setup a icecast2 radio station(mp3 especially.. not too fond of ogg) but I can't seem to find out how to setup the playlist. I can't find it in the configuration file... Do I have to install additional files?

Also, is there a better way than to install from source? I'm using debian so maybe some apt packages that I should install? This is a private server so I won't have access to muse or any other GUI.
Cheers
