IBM Director / Hostname / Ghosting

Greetings all.

I am Working with Redhat Ent 3 and and application called IBM Director. I am currently Ghosting all of our servers and later changing the hostname and ip addresses. All of the servers that are ghosted seem to be having a problem connection to the IBM Director server. All of the servers that are built from scratch are connecting to the IBM Director server with no problem. I was wondering if there is a hostname problem. I am looking for places to change my hostname besides /etc/hosts, start/system settings/network, etc/sysconfig/network. I'm also open to any other suggestions.

Thanks in advance,
mike

I haven't used IBM Director but the issue is likely within that rather than some global missed for the server. Is there an agent or other component of IBM Director you installed on the image you ghosted from? If so have you checked the configuration of that agent/component on one of your target installs? It seems likely that somewhere within such an agent/component there will be hostname/ip or even license keys that uniquely identify it. You may simply need to add a step after creating your target to modify the hostname/ip or reinstall license keys on the target host.
