I want to have a mail server
 

I just start Using RedHat 8.0 since a week
and I love it.
I want to have a mail server for my litle network.
2 Window
2 Linux
2 Stupid Mac javascript:smilie(';)')

I want something simple to set-up and to manage.
Also do I need a DNS or something else ?

Please ansers:
1-> sugestion for an easy mail server ?
2-> Do I need special set-up on the network like DNS or something ?

Install sendmail.

qmail is easy .
dns is must configure.
you better read document for dns.it's not easy.

I set up a mail server using postfix and ipop3. Both of which come with redhat. Any time I have to install any thing I shake my head because I am so new to linux it take me like three days. So any time it is already installled the happier I am. I know I know thats the easy way out. Linux can be hard to understand some times. Anyways both of those have been working great for me.

www.e-smith.org could also do the trick.. but it needs a whole system to work.. :)
