Visit http://www.google.com. Put in "linux point of sale", and press enter.

I'm not your brother. And it's time consuming for you, so you'd rather have us do it?

You haven't said anything about your requirements, what you're looking for, etc., so even if anyone here HAS experience with a Linux POS system, it won't help you out. If they're free/open source, download them all, and evaluate them.

You will find many of them on Sourceforge, www.sf.net , but sadly none of them are really complete and you will have to tweak them or rewrite them. Some of them are part of open source ERP systems and these are difficult to install and configure. The only workable opensource POS I found that really works and has very good support is TurboCash, www.turbocash.com , but sadly, it is Windows based. It is however written in Delphi and if one has expertise in the Delphi system he/she can theoretically port it to Linux by recompiling it in Kylix, the Linux version of Delphi. That however could require some time and effort.
