I have been given the task to simplify the now messy software at my work. I work for a small PC retailer/repairer, and currently there is far too much redundancy, and not the good type either.
We have a stand alone database for job ticketing which is an old DOS based BASIC application. There is then a separate POS program that only handles inventory and sales. And last but not least, there is a third program purely just for quotes. I am not looking for something that will be able to import and work with the current data, just something that we can start from scratch with.
There just seems to be too much out there, and nothing that I can see that fits our needs. Ideally I would like something in PHP and MySQL.
