Question I like to use......?


I just got today first time DVD linuxformat and I using mandrake 8.1. I using KDE
AMD Duron 700 ,cd-rw,512 mb of ram, 60gb HD........
Could please somebody tell what do I have to do that I can use DVD.If I need software where can I get them, how to unpack and install the software.
I`m pretty good in windows98,2000 in a future XP.

oh.. hang about.... he doesn't want to WATCH dvd's, just use DVD-ROM discs in general.

mount the dvd drive with somethign like

mount /mnt/dvd

and install the software in the same way as any other software. uise the search here to find a BILLION identical questions.

Your guys are very good special acid_kewpie.
He doesn`t want to watch DVD`s, just use dvd-rom discs in general.
You 100% correct.
Acid_kewpie I never make a directory or set-up for dvd discs how you call them dvd-rom discs.Is it correct to say DVD-rom discs?
But anyway thank you your guys for a big help.
