i have troubles updating ktorrent

i had ktorrent 2.1 installed on my notebook and intended to update to 2.2.1. simply installing the .rpm-file with yast included deleting the "debuginfo" since installation couldn't be completed else. but yast keeps downloading ktorrent 1.2 (!) all the time, even though i turned off all installation and update sources i usually use - and i have registered the ktorrent .rpm file as an installation source. what am i doing wrong???

best regards & thank you very much
ungua

edit: kpackage gives me this cryptical message. but i understand the punch line, of course...
Code:
<gs  '///home/ungua/ktorrent-2.2.1-3.1.i586.rpm';echo RESULT=$?
RESULT=0

All the apps you tried are just frontends to the rpm command. You can find out more info about it by accessing the manual (man rpm) and looking at the LQ Wiki section on how to install software.
