i got my zd1201 driver working!!!!!!!!!!!1111
 

im so happy now. hehehe

for those who are keen the problem for me was

1. kernel 2.4x doesnt properly recognize IEEE 802.1b device through my usb port
2. upgraded to kernel 2.6.10 and then to 2.6.11. both correctly identify the device.
3. ifconfig gave fragmentation fault but ignore it. you can configure with iwconfig
4. MOST IMPORTANTLY I HAD TO ALSO CONFIGURE RTS AND FRAG VALUES FOR THE DEVICE!

then it worked perfectly all under sh shell. i didnt operate under X11. hehehe
