i forgot my username and password, how can i open my red hat linux?
 
i can't login to my linux machine coz' i forgot my username and password. how can i login to my computer?

Well, you always have "root" as user.
So maybe try that, with deverend passwords. Or maybe you didn't set a password for root at all!!

If you forgot your username and know the password for root:
log in as root and use the command 'passwd <your_username>'

If you forgot the password for root:
boot into single user mode or use a rescue disk to get to single user mode and do 'passwd root' and set it to something you know.
