Question I can't start my matlab7.0,help.


i have install matlab7.0 in my redhat9.0 with right license.dat, but i can 't start my matlab. the error message like this:
$>./matlab
MATLAB: ../../../src/share/native/sun/awt/font/fontmanager/fontobjects/fontObject.cpp:418: const void * fileFontObject::ReadChunk(UInt32, UInt32, void * = 0): Assertion `offset < fFileSize' failed.

i have replaces $MATLAB/sys/java/jre/glnx86/jre1.3.1/lib/font.properties with
/../../font.properties.
and it dose not work also.


i have edit system's documents:/etc/X11/XF86config and /etc/X11/fs/config for add some new fonts.
can you help me ? i starve for matlab in linux. any suggestion will be appreciate.

I don't have the perfect solution for you, but have you tried running Matlab in terminal?
# matlab -nojvm

...this can be a convient way since it doesn't require the fonts if you just doing simple aritmetics (although you will still not be able to look at graphs....)

thank you very much, i know matlab -nojvm and using it .
but i need the graph interface, because the $>matlab -nojvm lost many functions. since i have changed the fonts of system, maybe i can change the default fonts of matlab with system's. could you tell me how to change the fonts of matlab? where is the matlab's fonts?
anyway, thank you very much!
