Exclamation i cant play movies in linux 9.0


i have installed xmms, mplayer, xine, realplayer rpms in Redhat linux 9.0. now iam able to play mp3 but iam not able to play .dat format. what should i do to play movies in redhat linux 9.0

I am not an expert in RedHat but it may be that all codecs are not available in the player.


Mplayer runs better if you compile it. Go to mplayerhq.hu and recompile it.

You might want to consider getting a newer OS than RH9.

i have installed mplayer, helix player, realplayer,xmms but iam not able to play .dat format files.

and the other one is the real player is playing .rm files but iam able to listen the sound.

hi

i m facing the same prob. my real player even doesnt play .rm files?
