Exclamation I can not connect my Virtual Machin to internet


Hello,

I installed a virtual Machine using qemu in which I installed windowsXP.
I created a Tun/Tap device and I can ping my PC and my virtual machin from both side. I am connected to a local network from which I have internet connection and many other service. Th problem that I can ping evry machin in my network and even in the web like google ( but only with its IP not with the name) but I can not get access to the internet pages. does anyone know how shal i configure the ethernet card in the Virtual and real machin to have connection or do you think that there is a specific problem?

I have CENTOS 5.1 in my machin with a 2.6.18-53.el5xen kernel and in the virtual machin I have windowsXP pro

Check your settings in the firewall between your local LAN and the internet. Check the IP address of your virtual WinXP and see if it is allowed thru by the firewall.

Throw away your tun/tap device.

Getting on the internet works automatically. See:
