I can't see JPGs in KDE

Hello, a few days I installed KDE 3.1 from the sources and all was ok, but, qhen I want to open a jpg image in Konqueror, Kmail, Kfmclient, or also a wallpaper the system can't open or previsualise the image, but I'm sure that I installed jpeglibs, the Makefile shows me:

LIBJPEG = -ljpeg

What could I do???

Thanks.

rm -fr ~/.kde

Log out and in. You'll lose everything in there.
